I am not cold with 'th' and teaching jalebi from 'J', opened a publishing company to tell the culture of the country to the children

Till now you must have read 'Th' from 'Th' or 'J' as 'Jag', but I am teaching 'Th' from 'Th' and 'Jalebi' from 'J'. Generation changed, technology changed, so the content of children's books should also change. I have tried to drop a drop of water in this ocean of change. These are the words of Chitwan Mittal, who started the 'Adidev Press' publishing company. In a special conversation with Woman Bhaskar, Chitwan says, 'I was born in a typical Marwari family of Kanpur and after the age of 12 I moved to Delhi. Mother was very fond of reading at home. His reading hobby also struck me and my childhood started reading western writers.

If I took a dip in the ocean of reading, I liked more articles written on philosophy and children. After finishing 12th, she went to Boston University for graduation. Then did his B.Ed from here and returned home.

went to study abroad with requests

The taste of the foreign country that I had tasted did not come off the tongue. I again told the family that I want to do my masters from London, but the family refused. There is a belief in our country that if girls become more educated, then there is a problem in getting a boy for their marriage. After many requests and insistence, he did his MA in Value Education from London.

When I was studying abroad, I used to spend most of my time in the library. After MA I opened consultancy and worked from 2012 to 2015. I also wanted to do PhD from abroad, but due to some reason could not.

Through consultancy, I gave teachers a new way of teaching and a new understanding of the content. I got all this experience only after studying abroad. In the meantime, got married and gave some years to married life. Career took a short pause.

Understanding of culture given to children abroad

Husband and I moved to Singapore in 2015 with a one and a half year old son. Today I have two children Aditya (8) and Dev (3). If any festival like Holi, Deepawali came, parents would be called to give speeches in the school. We were told to tell the children about this festival. I tried to find many books to understand the culture of India, but did not find many and good books.

Then I decided to start such a publication so that children can understand the culture of South Asia. Secondly, I was also seeing that even after so much technology, our books were still running on the old pattern.

Publishing company started in 2020

In the year 2020, I started a publishing company named Adidev Press. It was the time of Kovid and everything was closed. I made a whole team online. Find good illustrators, writers, editors and distributors. Today we have 20 illustrators around the world.

It is my endeavor that the children should not be taught to read, but new things of technology should be added. Children like cartoons, superheroes more. In the Hanuman Chalisa book we have prepared, Hanuman is also shown as a superhero, so that children can read with interest.

work with my heart

I want to make the world of reading and writing interesting for children by giving them easy language, interesting pictures and good colors. A day may come when children are hungry to read. My own children gave the first feedback on my books. If they like the content from cover to cover, then I pass. Hahaha…
